Welcome to Menlo Park

Menlo Park blends the best of everything the Bay Area can offer. Tree-lined streets frame classic ranch-style homes as well as new homes ranging in style from Napa farmhouse to Mediterranean to ultra-modern. Excellent public schools and proximity to Stanford University offer a range of educational opportunities.

The charming Allied Arts neighborhood gets its name from the Allied Arts Guild and was originally designed as a center for craft production. Designed as a Spanish Colonial complex, it features a restaurant, shops, and gardens—all operated by the Auxiliary of Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital.

Menlo Park also is home to Sand Hill Road—the nexus of venture capital and technology innovation. Google was launched out of a Menlo Park garage, and Sand Hill Road investors have fueled many world-leading technology firms. Bounded on the west by Highway 280, Menlo Park extends east to the San Francisco Bay and the Belle Haven area. This is home to the Facebook and Instagram campuses, featuring distinctive architecture and a living roof designed by noted architect Frank Gehry.

Santa Cruz Avenue and adjacent blocks offer fantastic shopping and socializing opportunities. Kepler's Books and the Borrone Café are legendary hangouts. A Draeger's market features an out-of-this-world bakery, meat market, café, and gift shop. Menlo Park also has two Safeway grocery stores, two Peets coffee shops, Trader Joes, a weekly farmer's market, the renowned Flea Street Café, and the popular Dutch Goose sports bar.

Commuters have easy access to Highway 101, and Caltrain. The iconic train station carries hundreds of commuters, many with their bikes, between San Francisco and Gilroy daily.
