Dear Monica: I want to put new appliances in my house before it goes on the market but I’ve been told that the new appliances may be off by a slight amount and thus not fit the space.  Any comment?  Amy F.

Dear Amy: This issue comes up often and while it seems like a small item, it can cause big consequences.  New appliances don’t always fit old spaces, even if the replacements are the same brand and style.  Getting correct measurements is essential and sometimes either spaces need to be adjusted or another brand selected.  Buyers love new appliances so it’s worth doing things well.
